Ask for useful customer reviews without pressure
Choose an appropriate moment, make the request easy and keep it honest.
Use a natural moment
Ask after a completed job when the customer has had a chance to assess it. A short request can name the service and thank the customer. Do not imply that a review is required for support or service.
Ask for an honest account
Invite an honest review rather than a five-star rating. Provide the actual review link and avoid writing the review for the customer. Check the review platform’s current rules before using incentives or gating requests.
Respond to feedback thoughtfully
Thank people for specific praise without revealing private job details. For a complaint, acknowledge it and offer a direct way to discuss the issue. Do not publish a customer’s personal information in a public reply.
Learn from patterns
Group feedback about response time, scope, scheduling and quality. Use repeated themes to improve operations, not just website copy. A testimonial on a page should be accurate and used with permission.
